The Hair Care Saga

Why Hair Care Products don’t work!

As of 2021, the global hair care industry is valued at a staggering 95 billion U.S. Dollars and projected to grow enormously over the next few years. With thousands of options for shampoos, conditioners, chemical treatments and other hair products out there — it is surprising how every other individual still suffers from one hair problem or the other. Be it hair loss, frizziness, dryness or split ends- hair problems are so common that we have accepted them as a part of ourselves.

Why are hair problems so prevalent in a world where hair care products are so widely available?

More than 70% of haircare products out there are made up entirely of chemicals. Sulfates, Parabens, and Polyethylene Glycols are some of the most commonly used ingredients in shampoos.

Surprisingly, these are also the ingredients that are most harmful to hair. They create the illusion of a great wash experience at first, but the hair damage they cause in the long term definitely outweighs the short-term benefits. For years, the haircare industry has manufactured products that provide immediate gratification and overlooked consumers’ aspirations of having healthy hair in the long run. Sadly, most consumers don’t realise that the very products they use in hopes of solving their hair problems are in fact the cause of these hair problems.

As more and more people realise the benefits of natural ingredients over chemicals- the shift towards natural products becomes increasingly prominent by the day. Natural haircare products are better for you and are better for the environment.

Ever wondered why your hair felt so healthy when you were a child? Remember the homemade haircare recipes your mother used to apply to your hair? Age-old Indian haircare remedies tapped into the enormous richness of natural ingredients, and as a result led to happy, healthy hair.

Another big reason these hair problems are so common is that the haircare industry manufactures products for the masses running on a one-size-fits-all philosophy.

A shift to custom haircare has been long-awaited and rightfully so.

The realisation that each individual is unique and has unique hair — helps create products that are uniquely suited to their haircare needs. Consequentially, custom haircare doesn’t sell you a hair product- it sells you a hair solution!

What if we could combine these two much-needed traits in a haircare product?

A brand that communicates with you about your haircare needs, and provides you with a product that is not only 100% natural but also built only for you!

That, we believe, is truly the solution to all your hair problems!
